Building Division

The Building Division is responsible for reviewing permit applications, issuing permits, enforcing building codes, and maintaining building records. The Building Division assists homeowners, builders, and developers in completing and filing required documentation during the permit processing, issuance, and finalization of building permits and enforcing ordinances that ensure safe buildings and a healthy environment.

Business Licenses:
We do not manage the licensing of contractors and trades. While we don’t require a specific contractor license, we do require a general business license for anyone conducting business in the Town of Mead. Click here for business license information.

NOTICE OF IMPACT FEE CHANGES

Per the Mead Municipal Code Section 4-6-60(d), Development Impact Fees will be adjusted on January 1st of each year.

Building Permits

A Building Permit is required for any persons, authorized agent or business wishing to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure. A building permit is also required to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert, or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system or cause any such work to be done.
