Code Enforcement
The mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment. The division helps maintain and improve the quality of the community by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of municipal codes. Mead is committed to providing safe living conditions for all its residents.
The primary functions of code enforcement are:
- To educate the public on code issues
- To work with the residents of our community
The Code Enforcement Division workload is principally complaint-generated. Code Enforcement receives numerous complaints yearly concerning alleged violations of the town's codes and ordinances. Each alleged violation is investigated to determine whether a violation exists. In addition, officials privately enforce regulations as their caseload allows. More information on these violation types can be located by referring to the Mead Municipal Code.
