Parks and Recreation

The Mead Recreation Department offers a wide variety of youth sports, activities, and events for your enjoyment. Mead’s parks offer abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. Whether you want to enjoy disc golf at Ames Park, a picnic at Founders Park, or a tennis match at Liberty Ranch Park, there are numerous ways to enjoy the great outdoors throughout Mead. Our parks include playgrounds, open space, picnic areas, paths and more.

Starting April 3, 2023, the Town of Mead will transition to CivicRec recreation software for all program and league registrations. All households will be required to create a new account before registering for upcoming activities.
 
HOW TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT:
  • Go to: https://secure.rec1.com/CO/mead-co/catalog
  • On desktop computer, select "Log In/Create Account" in the upper left corner, then select "Create Your Mead Account"
  • On mobile devices, select "account" in upper right corner and then select "Sign Up"
  • Fill in the form and completely as possible. All fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory to create your account. Make sure to keep everyone in your family on one account. Additional family members may be added at any time in your account settings.
  • To receive text message and email alerts for program information, indicate your mobile carrier next to your cell number and opt-in.

Mead Recreation provides quality youth sports camps and leagues for grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Recreational leagues prepare kids with the fundamentals of each sport and teach good sportsmanship and teamwork. Come join in the fun! The league will consist of two-person teams. All games will be played at Mead Town Park east lawn area with a beverage garden. Teams accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until full. 

Dates: Tuesdays from June 25 - July 30. 

Time: 6-7:30 p.m.

Cost: $30 per team

Registration Begins: Monday, April 1

Registration Ends: Friday, June 21

6 weeks of league play with a tournament on week 6.

Town Park Facilities & Reservations   Park and Field Reservations

The Town of Mead has a number of park shelters and fields available for reservation (fees apply) through the Recreation Department. All available park and shelter rentals can be viewed and reserved online.

STARTING APRIL, 2023, THE TOWN OF MEAD WILL TRANSITION TO CIVICREC RECREATION SOFTWARE FOR ALL park, field, and shelter rentals. ALL HOUSEHOLDS WILL BE REQUIRED TO CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT BEFORE reserving rental space.
