Building Division
The Building Division is responsible for reviewing permit applications, issuing permits, enforcing building codes, and maintaining building records. The Building Division assists homeowners, builders, and developers in completing and filing required documentation during the permit processing, issuance, and finalization of building permits and enforcing ordinances that ensure safe buildings and a healthy environment.
Business Licenses:
We do not manage the licensing of contractors and trades. While we don’t require a specific contractor license, we do need a general business license for anyone conducting business in the Town of Mead. Click here for business license information.
BUILDING PERMIT FEES
DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES (2026)
In accordance with Mead Municipal Code Section 4-6-60(d), Development Impact Fees will be adjusted on January 1st of each year based on the 5-year construction cost average adjustment rate, based on the Engineering News Record (ENR) 20-Cities Construction Cost Index (CCI). The adjustment for January 1, 2026, is 5.84%.
