Message from Mayor Whitlow regarding COVID-19 information and resources

Mayor Whitlow

Mead Community,

I hope this message finds you all safe, sound, and healthy.

As we navigate this very fluid situation, I want you all to know that we, the Mead Board of Trustees, are committed to being accessible to community members, and we’ll continue to provide support by relaying resources and the most up-to-date information possible. For that reason, I’ve deemed it necessary to develop a single point of reference for residents and those in our business community.

The town’s newly launched COVID-19 webpage, townofmead.org/COVID19, compiles information from the State of Colorado as well as Weld County Public Health and Environment. Additionally, residents will find a wealth of information and resources for small businesses and employees, residents looking to help those in need, questions about the coronavirus, and more. Lastly, relevant news from the Town of Mead will be embedded in the news feed at the bottom of the COVID-19 page, allowing Mead residents to stay informed on changes to programs, events, and town amenities (playgrounds, etc.) through the duration of the pandemic. Our hope is that this page serves as an easy and accessible hub.

Please rest assured, that even though town facilities – town hall and the police/public works facility – are currently closed to the public, staff is working, many remotely, to continue providing core services such as public safety, utilities, and essential operations.

It is so important right now for all of us to follow the public health requirement to stay at home, maintain social distancing, and limit exposure to others. This will keep our community safe and ultimately minimize the duration of the disruption to our daily lives.

Best,

Mayor Colleen G. Whitlow
