Proclamation: National Flag Week and Flag Day

On June 13, 2022 Mayor Whitlow issued a proclamation declaring the month of June 13-17, 2022 as Flag Week and June 14, 2022 as Flag Day in Mead. It is a day for all Americans to celebrate and honor the flag, its designers, and its makers. The flag represents all the 50 states of the country that together form the United States of America and its citizens. It is a week for citizens to pause and recognize the greatness of their nation and its people. Flag Week and Flag Day are recognized nationally as a call to all U.S. citizens to fly the American flag.
