Proclamation: National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month

On August 29, 2022, Mayor Whitlow issued a proclamation declaring September as National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month in Mead. Suicidal thoughts, much like mental health conditions, can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or background. We'd like to encourage all residents to raise awareness of the stigmatized, and often taboo, topic, shift public perception, spread hope, and share vital information to people affected by suicide.
