Mead Towne Center under new ownership
May 18, 2023--The three-story building in downtown Mead, located at 234 Main Street and locally known as Mead Towne Center, is under new ownership. On May 2, Welcome to Realty, LLC purchased the property at a sale conducted by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. A Sheriff’s Deed was issued on May 11, officially transferring the subject property to Welcome to Realty, LLC.
A sheriff's sale is a public auction and part of a court-ordered process to satisfy legal judgments against the former owner of the property. The order to sell was issued by the Weld County District Court.
The Mead Towne Center project broke ground in late 2017 and was originally envisioned as a mixed-use development with dining, retail, office space, and apartments. “The Town of Mead welcomes the new owner. I know this building has been on the minds of our residents and I’m hopeful to find an amenable solution,” said Mayor Colleen Whitlow.
Welcome to Realty, LLC is a real estate brokerage and investment firm located in Fort Collins. At present, no plans have been made for the future of the building.
