Election update from the town clerk

March 26, 2020 -- The Mead Municipal Election is underway as ballots are being dropped off daily at town hall. The Amended Public Health Order 20-24, issued March 25, by Governor Polis does allow the Town of Mead to continue and complete the municipal election as scheduled. The regular municipal election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2020 as a mail ballot election.

Ballots were mailed to registered electors between March 16 and March 23. If you are registered to vote in Mead and did not receive a ballot, you may request a replacement ballot from the Town Clerk’s office. The form for requesting a replacement is on the town’s website: townofmead.org/townclerk/page/election-information.

Ballots are due by Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. and may be returned to the town hall by mail or dropped off in the 24-hour drop box located outside the north entrance to the Town Hall, 441 Third Street. The governor’s order does allow for travel to access critical government functions, which would include the electors’ right to vote.

Town staff is taking precautions to allow our election judges to work at Mead Town Hall in a bigger area and on a staggered schedule. The Town of Mead strives to ensure that this process is convenient, error-free and accessible to all eligible voters.

Please take the time to consider your ballot and vote in the Mead Municipal Election. If you have any questions, please contact me.
