Mead CLEAN-UP Days are moving to Front Range Landfill! Due to increased demand for waste collection, environmental regulations, and budget Impacts, the Town of Mead has moved Clean Up-Days to Front Range Landfill.

Moving to Front Range Landfill means:

  • Increased drop-off hours!
  • More choices for waste drop-off days!
  • Expanded range of acceptable waste!
  • Minimized the environmental impacts to Mead!
  • More cost-effective!

Town of Mead residents can use a voucher for one free trip to the Front Range Landfill (1830 Weld County Road 5, Erie, CO 80516). Whether you just finished fall yard work or need to get rid of some household trash, Clean-Up Days allow you to take one free load to Front Range Landfill!

Landfill voucher pick-up will start Monday, September 30, 2024, at Mead Town Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mead Fall Clean-Up Days vouchers will be accepted at Front Range Landfill from October 14 through October 26 during their regular operating hours. Registration is required—one voucher per Town of Mead household. Stop by Mead Town Hall with your ID and proof of residency to sign up and grab your free voucher!

This program is free to Mead residents, but please bring nonperishable food items to Front Range Landfill to participate in our food drive! All food items collected will be donated to the Weld Food Bank.

Voucher and Landfill Information:

The voucher is good for one (1) load up to one (1) ton. All loads must be covered. Please note one load is defined as:

  • A single vehicle or truck with items
  • Or a single trailer with items. A vehicle/truck with items pulling a trailer with items is considered two loads, and additional charges will apply.
  • A maximum one-ton limit applies. Additional items/weight will be subject to fees from the landfill, paid by the resident at the time of disposal.

Monday-Friday: 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

As a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill (MSW), the Front Range Landfill is authorized only to accept certain materials. All incoming loads are subject to random inspection.

ITEMS ACCEPTED: Visit the Front Range Landfill website to view a complete list of accepted waste, white goods for recycling (appliance list), and unaccepted waste.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED: Oils, paints, batteries, hazardous materials, certain appliances, tires, or electronics.
