VOLUNTEER COACH

Make a difference in a life of a child and volunteer to coach. Our goal is to develop a foundation based on support, encouragement, and skill development. Coaches will receive training and materials so that even the first-time coach will be ready to get out on the field. The skills and techniques you will receive are age appropriate. We will help you apply those techniques to make sure you and your players have a satisfying experience. All volunteer head coaches are required to pass a background check and complete the concussion and mandatory reporter training. Volunteer coaches (new or returning) must register for each sport that they would like to coach.

Coaching Expectations:

  • Must submit a Head Coach Application.
  • Must submit and pass a Background Check. Background Checks are valid for one year.
  • Must complete the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) concussion prevention training, or equivalent. Concussion prevention training is valid for one year.
  • Must complete the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Colorado Office of children, Youth, and Families, or equivalent mandatory reporter training. Mandatory reporter training is valid for one year.
  • Must attend the preseason coaches’ meeting for their respective league or send a proxy in their place.
  • Attend a minimum of 75% of all meetings, practices, and scheduled games.

Time commitment:

Practice is one or two day per week for one hour, with games on Saturdays for an hour. Practice days, times, and locations are selected by coaches on a first come/ first serve basis. Coaches will only be assigned once the application, background check, and concussion training are complete
