2026 Junior Nuggets 5th-8th Grade Basketball
Teams practice 1-2 hours per week at Mead Middle School. Games will be played on Saturdays at Carbon Valley Recreation Center or Mead Middle School. Teams are created based on grade level and are divided into boy and girl teams (7th/8th Grade Boys only).
We are once again partnering with Junior Nuggets for this league! Participants will receive a replica Nuggets jersey as well as a free ticket to a regular season Denver Nuggets game. Cost is included in the price of registration.

Late registration: December 2- December 8; $10 late fee will be assessed during this time. Limited spots will be available during this time, there is no guarantee that your child will be placed on a team.
Fee: $115 Resident, $125 Non-resident **jersey fee included in registration cost**

2026 Preschool & Kindergarten-COED
Do you have a child in preschool or kindergarten interested in trying out basketball? The Baller Basics basketball program is an opportunity for kids to play in a relaxed, fun league. Teams will practice on Saturdays for 30 minutes followed by a 30 minute game against other Mead teams.
Reversible uniforms will be used for this league. If your child already has a blue and silver Mead Recreation jersey (from soccer, volleyball, or baseball), you may use that for a discounted registration fee. If you need a new Mead Recreation jersey, please select "you need a reversible jersey or a new size" during registration.
Teams meet on Saturdays at the Mead Community Center for a 30-minute practice and a 30-minute game for six weeks.

This program promotes good sportsmanship and teamwork while teaching the rules and fundamentals of basketball. Teams will practice on Saturdays for 40 minutes, followed by a 45-minute game against other Mead teams.
