Mead Recreation provides a variety of youth programs designed to stimulate your child's social, physical, and cognitive skills. Programs are designed with specific age groups in mind to provide the best in program quality.
The High Plains Library is hosting four exciting youth programs at the Mead Community Center!
Mead International Snack Club (No registration needed)
Taste your way around the world with snacks, activities, and music from a different culture each month.
Date: First Wednesday of the month
Time: 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
Mead Preschool Story Hour (No registration needed)
Enjoy read-alouds, songs, and movement for children up to 6 years old and their caregivers. Stick around afterward to explore the Bookmobile from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Date: Second & fourth Tuesday of the month
Time: 9:15 – 10:00 a.m.
Let’s Draw! (No registration needed)
Learn new drawing techniques, play creative games, and make your own artwork. Light snacks are provided. Open to grades 1-5.
Date: Third Tuesday of the month
Time: 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
STEAM Activities (No registration needed)
Hands-on fun with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Explore a new concept or skill each month!
Date: Fourth Wednesday of the month
Time: 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
