Yoga Class
Unroll your mat and join us for a rejuvenating yoga class designed to help you build strength, increase flexibility, and find inner calm. This all-levels session encourages people to be their true, authentic selves to discover what each person is capable of and to find their own peace. Whether you're here to stretch, sweat, or slow down, this class offers space to connect with your body and mind. Our instructor, Alix Wilson, is a firm believer in balance and integrity. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and is excited to bring this excellent, life-changing practice to her community. Classes will be offered every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and every Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mead Community Center (401 3rd St). *All participants must pay a drop-in fee upon entry to the Mead Community Center. Participants should bring their own mat and blocks.
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Courses (Registration required)
The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and breathing difficulties, as well as a wide range of first-aid situations. Through engaging, hands-on instruction, participants learn how to provide immediate care to individuals who are injured or ill—and how to determine when advanced medical assistance is necessary. This program empowers individuals to act confidently and decisively in critical moments, potentially saving lives and making a meaningful difference in their communities. This class combines online learning with an in-person skills session. Participants complete the online portion at their own pace, then attend a hands-on class to practice and demonstrate required skills with a certified Red Cross instructor. Certification is issued upon successful completion of both components. The in-person portion of the course will take place at the Mead Community Center from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- July 25
- August 22
