Our baseball program offers your children the perfect opportunity to develop an understanding of the game as well as work on the fundamental skills required. Both tee-ball and coach pitch baseball are designed to further enhance the skills of the player. We are focused on developing the basics of baseball – running the bases, catching, throwing and hitting – while also instilling sportsmanship, promoting teamwork, and FUN!
Preschool and Kindergarten teams will have a 30 minute practice followed by a 30 minute game on Saturdays. 1st-3rd grade practices will be held once a week at Ames Park. Games will be played on Saturdays in Berthoud. Reversible uniforms will be used for this league. If your child already has a Mead Recreation jersey (from soccer, volleyball, or baseball), you may use that for the discounted registration fee. If you need a new Mead Recreation jersey, please select "you need a reversible jersey or a new size" during registration. All participants will need to purchase a suitable baseball glove. Baseball pants and cleats are highly recommended!
Season Dates: June 1-July 25 (No games Saturday, July 4)
Cost: $75 resident / $85 non-resident **discounted price for using reversible jersey** DOES include baseball hat.

2026 Rockies Game/Youth Parade at Coors Field
The Town of Mead has partnered with the Colorado Rockies to bring the Youth baseball players of Mead to Coors Field! Players get to participate in a parade around Coors Field prior to the game with other youth leagues in the state of Colorado in addition to attending a Colorado Rockies game at a discounted price. Buy tickets for you and your youth player or for the whole family! Each ticket sold supports Town of Mead Recreation.
Date: Sunday, June 21
Time: Game starts at 1:10 p.m. (Youth players will be asked to arrive earlier to participate in the parade!)
Cost: $31 per ticket
